Letter #87 (August 2, 2010)

It was a slower week for us. We were still able to be guided by the Spirit and witness a lot of miracles. Our investigators are going through some difficult and transitional times. A few of them are working more than usual. Others are going through some serious family problems. We feel like they are receptive to the gospel and that they want to draw nearer to God. I'm confident that God's will will be done here in Washington.

Elder Haws is doing good. He has a great love for our investigators. We're getting along very well.

The principle of covenants has been on my mind this last week. These are some of my thoughts on the matter: We must be willing to follow the Lord. The Prophet is His representative. We must be willing to follow the Prophet. As members of His Church we are required to make covenants with the Lord and heed the words of the prophets. We are placed under a greater obligation than any other people. But we are promised the greatest blessings he has in store.

I'm grateful for my mission. I know that this is His Church.
Love, Elder Olaya
