Letter #10 (Dec. 29, 2008)

It was a good week! I was able to speak to my dad over the phone on Christmas day. He seemed happy. He didn't ask me when i was coming home and he was happy to hear from me. God has been blessing him so much. I can't help but worry about him at times. But God has comforted me continually. I'm very grateful, so grateful for all my friends back home and everywhere else. I have felt Thy love. May God bless you all. I know that God lives and that His son died for us. I know that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and His son Jesus Christ. I know that the Angel Moroni appeared to Joseph Smith several times and directed him to the hidden records of the inhabitants who lived in North and South America. I know that the Book of Mormon was written by prophets, abridged by Mormon, and sealed by His son Moroni. God knew that these records would be a benefit for us in these days. By his miraculous powers he preserved those plates. Nothing so good can come from men. The Spirit testifies to me that the Book of Mormon comes from God. There are precious teachings therein that draws us closer to God than any other book on earth. I love you all. My prayers are with you. Hold on to the faith. Cry unto the Lord for greater knowledge and greater joy in this life. Pray for charity as Mormon directs in Moroni 7. God loves us and wants us to have all the blessings he enjoys!
