I had an interesting week. I was taught more than I did the teaching. On Monday, our P-Day, there was a lot of contention amongst companionships. We usually hang out with the singles ward elders because they live in the same apartment complex as we do. There were some differences of what we were going to do that day. There were contention in my companionship and their companionship. It was nothing big other than miscommunication, misjudging and a lot of pride. I spoke to my companion that night after nightly planning. We akwardly and carefully addressed our concerns. We apologized to each other for the miscommunications. I know that the adversary works hard to bring contention to companionships. It hinders the work. But we handled the situation very well. We didn't argue. We were able to see eye to eye. We hugged each other and said that we love one another. Nearly an hour later, one of the missionaries from the singles ward (they have 3 elders) came to our place to return dishes. I asked him for an accounting for the day. He shared with me his teaching appointments. I was prompted to ask him if he wanted a blessing. He smiled and said that that was the real reason why he came to our place. I gave him a wonderful blessing. If I hadn't resolved my concerns with my companion, I wouldn't had been able to give the other elder a blessing. God works in mysterious ways.
I had zone conference on Wednesday. It was great! It was my mission president's last zone conference before he's released. It was emotional and uplifting. So many great missionaries are leaving the mission after this transfer. They bore powerful testimonies. My trainer is one of those missionaries, Elder Barker. He's a great man. I love him and wish him the best. I was asked by the AP's to write a rap for President and Sister Wallis. They wanted me to rap in their song which they had made for them. We practiced before zone conference started that morning. They played the guitar and had a great song to go along with it. I added my rap. We performed it during lunch. Everyone loved it! President Wallis asked for a copy of it and I gave him the original written rap. He really enjoyed it. It was a great week. Prayer is Powerful! Pray for whatsoever thing you need, having faith in God, and He will give it to you. I love this work!

My Rap to President and Sister Wallis
President and Sister Wallis
I got to pay homage
To the First Family
In NC Raleigh
We've all been blessed by your love and endevors
You're the greatest couple since Joseph and Emma
Sister Wallis could make a grown many cry
Everytime she gives a talk, you the Lord's by her side
We could feel your love and care, you're such a genuine soul
You're our mother, and we love ya, we just want you to know
That you'll be missed,
And so will President,
One of the best that has ever been
He's Heaven sent and he always represents
For the Lord Jesus Christ.
He's a shining light
And guides us to do right
He uplifts souls
He makes us pros
He seems to know
How to make us grow
He has a glow
This is how I show
My love and affection
To the 2 I've been blessed with
To guide me in my progression
I'm grateful every second
We love you and wish you the best
The Lord is well pleased and you will be blessed.
