I'm staying in Chapel Hill another 6 weeks. We always find out the Saturday before transfers. We call it Black Saturday. I had a good feeling I would stay but you never know. It felt like forever on Saturday night waiting for the zone leaders to call me and tell me who in my district is leaving. I'm staying!
I had a good week. Our investigators are not progressing. Its dissapointing at times to see them so close but not get baptized. I pray constantly for them. I was able to witness Ana get baptized on Saturday. It was a great baptismal service. She bore her testimony after her baptism about her the power of prayer. She had prayed when she was 5 to find the true church. She met missionaries when she was 17 but her parents were staunch Catholics that would never approve of her joining another religion. She married a Jew. She prayed about being Jewish. The answer was no. She married a muslim. She prayed about being Muslim. The answer was no. She said that the missionaries caught her at the right time in her life. She prayed to know if she should join the Church. The answer was yes. I remember when Elder Condie and I had contacted her. We had prayed before leaving our apartment for Him to put someone in our path. The first person we saw that morning was Ana. Her car was on the side of the road. We asked her if she needed assistance. She said that someone else was coming. We got her info and started to teach her. We then gave her to the other elders because she lived in their area. She was at the right place at the right time. We were at the right place at the right time. God is a God of miracles. Prayer is Powerful!
Love, Elder Olaya
