Letter # 45 (Oct.5, 2009)

I hope you get this email and my computer don't mess up like last week. I had another good week. I want to bear my testimony that we have a living prophet called of God, even Thomas S Monson. This is the Lord's Church. I know that more now than ever before. I am one of His representatives. I am set apart to preach His gospel. I have the Priesthood of God. I have exercised it and healed the sick and comforted the afflicted. The Book of Mormon is what it claims to be: Another testament of Jesus Christ. It's the reason why I joined the Church. If you believe in Christ, you will believe in the Book of Mormon. Joseph Smith was the Prophet who God chose to restore His Church. I love the Prophet Joseph Smith.

We were able to teach Ray this week. He still has doubt about God and his relationship to him. He's not sure if God exists and if Jesus is the Christ. He has a desire to find out. He will try to pray with real intent and sincerity of heart. He came to the Sunday morning session of General Conference with his member friend, Delores. It was great to see him there. He's searching for the truth and that's all I could ask for.

I'm getting a new companion tomorrow. I'm going to miss Elder Birrell. I'm excited and a little nervous about who my new companion is going to be. I know that he's already a zone leader. We have great zone leaders in our mission. We should have a good time.

I'm grateful for this work. Please pray for me. I'm grateful for your support, my great friends. You're in my prayers. This work is true.
