Letter #52 (November 23, 2009)

I had another amazing week.  We set another baptismal date. His name is Ray. He has had difficult with religion and believing in a God for most of his life. He's 65 years old. He's been one of the most frustrating investigators I have taught because of his skepticism. Well after 4 months of teaching him on and off, we are finally chipping away into his heart. I've seen a change in him. He basically set his own baptismal date for his birthday on December 16th. This will be one of the greatest miracles in the Church if he gets baptized.

We're excited about John .  He's getting baptized on Saturday.  He's been the highlight of my mission.  Everyone should get to know him.  He has a great light to him and he's very charming and charismatic.  We're also excited about Jeff.  It looks like he's going to get baptized on December 5th.  He's been one of my favorite investigators.  He has been diligent in studying the Book of Mormon and seeking the Truth.  He's amazing!

This has been the best time of my mission. Its now when I have to keep my guard up and remain humble because I know that opposition never ceases.  Time has been going fast, but I have memories that will last forever.  I love my mission.  It is His mission and His work.  This is His Church.  Even our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

                                                         Love, Elder Olaya
