Letter # 21 (March 23, 2009) w/photos

I had a really good week. On Monday we watched the Testaments with the Suners. I cried like 4 times. I shouldn't admit that. What I meant to say is that I enjoyed watching the Testament and I'm too manly to cry. On Tuesday we saw Kentaya. She's been getting taught by missionaries before I got to Chapel Hill. She has a lot of potential and she's really smart, but she surrounds herself with the wrong crowd. There's always people in her home when we teach her and most of the time they're either high or drunk. Kentaya has changed quite a bit. But she has to get separate herself from the crowd she hangs out with if she wants to make progress. Its truly a miracle that she has come to church several times and has stopped doing some things that had kept her away from God. I don't know what's going to happen with her, but I do know that she has a testimony and she loves our message.

Tracting was difficult this week. People were not trying to listen to us. But we did get a sweet experience from tracting that made it all worth it. We knocked on a door and Beverly came out. She said that she knows about us and that her first husband was Mormon. She said that she doesn't believe what believe. We told her about the Book of Mormon and how you could find out our message about God calling a prophet and our church being true by reading and praying to God to know if its true. We proceeded to teach her a powerful first lesson. It went well. We gave her a Book of Mormon and she agreed with meeting up with us on Tuesday. I love this work!

God is a God of miracles.

I have some pictures of Elder Condie and I on the day of Diane's baptism and one of Diane and her children a couple of days later. Hope you enjoy them.
