I had a great week. Rueben is going to get baptized this Saturday. We're very excited for him. John Collins, the blind man came to Church yesterday. We went to his place a half-hour before church started to him pick out a tie. (Also to make sure he was coming.) Our ward mission leader, John Hansen picked him up and took him to church. John Collins really enjoyed his time at church. He's so charming. He's 65 years old Black man. He told the members in Elder's Quorum that he's a hillbilly with a tan. During opening priesthood exercise he introduced himself and said that he feels comfortable. He also said that he wanted to thank Elder Koehler and I for our presence. He participated in Sunday School and Elder's Quorum. He mentioned how that the Church has always been a good example to him. He's known members when he was living in the West Coast. Many came up to talk to him. He then had dinner at Brother Hansen's home. He made our day memorable. He's a good man.
Other than that, we've been working with families in creating Family Mission Plans. We're searching for people who are searching for the Gospel in our everyday travels. Times are great! I love this work. I'm a representative of our Lord Jesus Christ. I say that in Humility. This is His work. This is His Gospel. Thomas S Monson is His chosen servant to lead and guide His Church.
