Letter #67 (March 8, 2010)

We've been working closely with the Bolanos family. They're willing to learn and enjoy our teachings. They were planning on going to church and we were very excited to pick them up and lead them to our church as they followed us in our van. When we went to picked them up, the wife told us that her husband was called in to work last minute so they couldn't go to church with us. That was a bit dissapointing. But they did have a desire and would've came if he didn't have to go to work. It was interesting that Cesar hasn't worked on Sundays for years, but all of sudden, his job has been calling him in for work on Sundays right around the time we started teaching them. We're going to have to work are hardest to help them receive the Gospel.

I was thinking yesterday after the incident with the Bolanos family about the Sabbath Day observance and other sacrifices we make. The world may think that we make severe and illogical sacrifices like not working on Sundays and paying tithing. Yet, we're generally blessed economically because we keep the commandments of God.

I love our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He lives! This is His Church. He loves us all!
