We feel good about how the week went and how we're working with the members to obtain referrals. We're still having all of our appointments fall through. We're doing a lot of finding and working effectively with members. We received 5 referrals from members. We're in the process of contacting them and the members are inviting them to several events. Last night one of our members told us that he's going to give away a Book of Mormon to his co-worker when we asked him what type of missionary experience he's going to have this week. His wife said that she's going to invite their neighbor to a branch activity.
Another great thing that happened this week was that a part-member family showed up to church on their own. Their names are Abraham and Judy Romero. Judy the non-member boyfriend of Abraham, a member, use to be taught by the missionaries a year ago. But she was married to someone in Mexico and needed to get divorced so she could marry Abraham. They have a couple of young children. They enjoyed church. We set up a time to see them this week. They asked us if we could get information on how they could get a marriage licence. We believe that she got divorced legally with her ex. We're excited about them. What a miracle!
It cooled down a bit in Raleigh. The weather is still up in the mid to upper 80's. We're riding our bikes a lot. These hills are killing me. I lose about 5 pounds everyday between lunch and dinner, but then I gain it back after dinner. . Life is great! As I be happy and remain positive the more effective I am as a missionary. This is the Lord's work. I know that Thomas S Monson is a true prophet with all the keys of the kingdom of God here on earth. I love you all.
